Our Key Pillars
The Moot Hub
ABOUT MOOT HUB
The CMR Moot Hub is a unique premium platform and initiative offered to all African students through a series of specialized moot court competitions touching diverse areas. The Moot Courts are specially tailored to bolster the capacity of students in critical emerging societal issues thus exposing them to be part of the active dialogue in these areas. Through their participation, students get a direct exceptional contextual understanding of the issues presented. The moots expose students to in-depth legal research and analysis of issues while formulating persuasive arguments for and against the hypothetical cases presented.

The Mentorship Hub
SET ACTIONS & ASSIGN STAKEHOLDERS
The CMR Mentorship Hub, is premised on the need of the younger generation to tap from experience and knowledge of their predecessors. The Mentorship Hub provides a platform for connecting mentors and mentees. Towards this end, the Center in partnership with development partners organizes mentorship series at both institutions and town hall meetings. In these events, senior lawyers, judicial officers and judges get to interact and share with the younger generations their experiences and knowledge. The Center also conducts mapping of mentors to mentees where a mentor offers to be rolled out to a program of regular mentorship to a particular set of mentees.

WORK PROCESS
HOW IT WORKS?
Africa is the youngest continent in the world: About 70% percent of its population is below the age of 30 years. However, young Africans who should give momentum to the continent’s transformation through inclusion during major policy making processes are largely alienated and marginalized. The greatest challenges facing governments and policymakers in Africa today is how to provide opportunities for this youthful population so that they can have decent lives and contribute to the social, political and economic development of their countries.
